Canada Geese Flying

Sharing of spiritual responsibilities.

As fledglings, we are trying to find our way and our paths.  Some of us feel this is a burden and we feel inadequate and therefore fearful of how to get along this path.  If we study the Canada Geese we see that each year when they migrate, the last year’s fledglings are tucked in behind the older wiser geese, which fly in vee formation, sheltering the flock.  From time to time the leader in the vee formation peels away and goes to the back to have a rest whilst a new leader moves to the front.  We can look at these patterns and realise that a different Master will take the lead, as is needed in our lives, on our journey home to self-realisation.  Each Master will give us resources to use and help us to know where we are going.  Canada Geese mate for life, they are very loyal and trust each other.  This is an example to us that we all have metaphorically in our spiritual lives, mated with the Masters.  We can rely on them, because they truly know everything and they will be there – flying ahead of us showing the way.
